Dr. Veronica Johnston is a distinguished clinical psychologist and accomplished business leader, overseeing three highly successful private psychology practices across regional Victoria. With a career spanning more than two decades, she brings a wealth of expertise from her work in both educational and healthcare environments. Dr. Johnston's professional journey has provided her with profound insights into the pervasive effects of prolonged exposure to others' distress and trauma for the person providing the support. Throughout her career, she has personally assisted people in helping professions foster reflection, healing and resilience.

Matt began his career working as a Registered Nurse, completing a Graduate Diploma in Emergency Nursing at Monash before moving his career to Ambulance in 1999.
Since that time Matt has had a steady progression through many positions within Ambulance Victoria (AV), currently sharing the position of Clinical Support Officer and
MICA Flight Paramedic.Matt shares his time between AV and Monash University where he also teaches to both Undergraduate and Post Graduate Paramedic students and is a Unit coordinator
for a subject within the Aero Medical Course.More recently Matt has developed an interest in research and has been co-author on several peer reviewed papers that have recently been published.

Professor Tony Walker ASM

Professor Tony Walker ASM has nearly four decades of experience in ambulance and emergency services, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Ambulance Victoria, where he led significant transformation to improve the health and wellbeing of their workforce and their response to the community.
Tony is a Registered Paramedic and Fellow of the Australasian College of Paramedicine. He holds adjunct appointments as Professor of Paramedicine at Monash University and Professor and Vice Chancellor’s Strategic Fellow at Victoria University. Tony is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and non-executive director of Life Saving Victoria, Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, Emergency Services Foundation and TLC for Kids.
He is past Chair of the Australian Resuscitation Council (Victorian branch) and past Deputy Convenor of the Australian Resuscitation Council ALS sub-committee, an Executive member of the Global Resuscitation Alliance and a member of the St John Ambulance WA Clinical Performance Committee and Chevra Hatzolah Clinical Governance Committee.
Tony has been awarded the Ambulance Service Medal, National Heart Foundation President’s Award and Australian Resuscitation Council Medal for his significant contributions to improving ambulance services, cardiovascular health and resuscitation practice and outcomes.
Since retiring from Ambulance Victoria, Tony remains actively engaged as an academic, management consultant, and non-executive director. This allows him to continue his passion for improving emergency medical services, health systems, and supporting first responder mental health.

Ben’s current role is Principle Compliance Officer for the regulated services unit at the Victorian Department of Health. Part of the unit’s remit is the licencing and regulation of commercial First Aid Services in Victoria – the first such licencing scheme in an Australian jurisdiction. As such,Benhas been fortunate to witness some of the best provision of event based first aid and health services and is well placed to provide tips on the dos and do nots of providing or engaging first aid services in an event context. Prior to joining the Department of HealthBen’s professional background is as a Paramedic instructor, educator, and manager for nearly 10 years working across the private, NFP, Ambulance, and Defence sectors.
